Charles Michael Harris, age 64, passed away on Thursday, July 13, 2017. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his sister, Kathy Sturm (Joe).

Mike was born on December 19, 1952, in Corpus Christi, Texas. He graduated from Ray High School in 1971. He then served in the Army during the Vietnam War era. From there he earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Business from Corpus Christi State University. He worked at Corpus Christi Army Depot. Being a natural entrepreneur, he started and operated several successful businesses. Mike built, owned and operated the Nueces Bay Bait Stand. He also operated his own remodeling business, and had a very successful tool and sporting goods supply business. Mike was an avid fisherman in Corpus and Nueces Bays.

Mike was a good man with a kind heart. He was rugged, honest, a straight talker, and a hard worker. He dearly loved his family and friends. He is survived by his brother Pat Harris (Rachel), niece Katie Oliver, and nephews Charlie Harris, Russ Harris and Chris Sturm.

Mike will be greatly missed by his family and friends, who loved him dearly.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, July 21 at 2:00 pm at the Evergreen Cemetery on HWY 181, north of Skidmore, Texas.
