Arlene Furrow

Arlene "Mom" (Ballard) Furrow, 88, of La Vernia, formerly of Beeville, died Tuesday, Oct. 7, 2014. Mrs. Furrow was born Dec. 3, 1925, in Maxwell, Iowa, to Mabel Elinor (Beal) and Floyd Milton Ballard. She married Melvin Furrow and was a secretary for Southern Union Gas in Albuquerque, New Mexico and a bank teller in Farmington, New Mexico. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughter, Sandra Fullagar; and sister-in-law, Susan Furrow. Survivors include two sons, Joe (Sue) Furrow and Bobby (Patty) Furrow; son-in-law, Jay Fullagar; seven grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren. A graveside service will be conducted Saturday, Oct. 11, at Beeville Memorial Park at 1 p.m.
