Arelious Johnson

Arelious "Nip" Johnson, 83, of Beeville, formerly of Skidmore, passed away Saturday, December 15, 2018.
Mr. Johnson was born Feb. 3, 1935, in Cuero to Mitchal and Olivia Johnson. He married Corene Wilton on Jan. 17, 1957, in Corpus Christi. He was a farrier by profession and was employed as a farm and ranch hand. He was a member of Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witness.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Olivia and Mitchal Johnson; sisters, Erma Stewart, Ostella Giles, Arnell Speaker, Ida Mae Johnson, Joyce Branford and Clara McKinnley; bothers, Nathaniel Johnson and Selester Johnson; and a great-grandson.
Survivors include his wife, Corene Johnson of Beeville; three children, Erma Fletcher, Don (Sandi) Johnson and Renee (Chowan) Mayo, all of Beeville; grandchildren, Michael Wayne Fletcher, Lisa Fletcher, Joshua Johnson, Jared Johnson, Jessica Almeida, Jeremy Johnson, Deja Fields and Chowan "CJ" Mayo; 15 great-grandchildren; a sister, Audrey McIntyre; a brother, Mitchell (Bennie) Johnson; and a host of nephews and nieces.
A memorial service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Friday, December 21, 2018, at the John C. Fulghum Event Center in Beeville. Special songs will include "Life Without End at Last" and "Here I Am Send Me."
