Annette Gomez

Annette (Almendarez) Gomez passed peacefully into the Lord’s loving arms on Wednesday, January 27, 2021. She was 57.

Annette was born February 8, 1963 in Cotulla, Texas to Victoriano and Simona (Diaz) Almendarez. She was a graduate of McMullen County High School in Tilden and earned a bachelor’s degree in nursing. She retired from the Texas Department of Criminal Justice after 20 years of employment as an LVN. Her favorite pastime was spending time with her family.

Annette was preceded in death by her parents, Victoriano and Simona Almendarez; her husband, Mark A. Gomez Sr., who passed away June 20, 2010; and brothers, Porfidio Almendarez and Robert Lee Almendarez.

Survivors include her beloved sons, Mark A. (Christina) Gomez Jr. of Beeville and Anthony Brian (Alexandria) Gomez of Florida; sisters, Dolores Almendarez, Mary Smith, Minnie Perez, Monica Almendarez and Mary Ann Almendarez; brothers, Victor Almendarez Jr., Alfredo (Lorene) Almendarez, Leroy Almendarez, Carl (Jackie) Almendarez, Delfino (Jennifer) Almendarez and Gentry (Shannon) Almendarez; and numerous nieces and nephews.
