Ann Spellmann

Ann Southwell Richards Spellmann passed into the arms of Our Lord on Thursday, August 23, 2018, at the age of 95. She was born July 26, 1923, in Lockhart, Texas to George Thomas and Lucile Beall Southwell.
In addition to her parents, her husband and father of her children - Joe E. Richards, and second husband - Dr. E.C. (Buck) Spellmann, predeceased Ann. Also welcoming Ann to Heaven are her brother, Dr. Samuel Beall Southwell; her sister, Raemona Southwell McNeill; her son, Blaine Richards; and her grandson, Travis Richards.
Her three children, Joseph Richards (Rebecca), Terry Richards (Mary Dean) and Lucy Richards Martin, as well as three grandsons, Scott Richards, (Hillary), Mark Richards (Andi Jo) and Bryan Martin (Lauren) and three great-grandchildren, Elliot Richards, Auden Richards and Hank Richards, survive her along with numerous nieces and nephews.
A member of "The Greatest Generation," "Annmaw" had an unparalleled zest for life and was a true example and model of Christ's love and grace during her 95 years.
A memorial service and Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, September 28th at 3:00 p.m. at First United Methodist Church in Beeville, Texas with Rev. Gloria Lear officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to First United Methodist Church of Beeville, First United Methodist Church of Corpus Christi, or the charity of your choice.
