Amy Ortiz

Amy Lea (Irby) Ortiz, 52, of Goliad, Texas, passed away Monday, February 11, 2019.

Amy was born Oct. 28, 1966, in Beeville, Texas, to Seymour and Lynece (Richardson) Irby. She was a farmer and rancher and a member of the Presbyterian church. She enjoyed cooking for family and friends and loved to entertain. She was the life of the party.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Survivors include four children, Amber Ortiz (Abel Martinez), Brittney Ortiz and Tristan Rodriguez, all of Goliad, and Zachary Irby of San Marcos; four siblings, Jason Irby of Goliad, Gail Scott and Sandy Trevino, both of Austin, and Ron Hicks of Dripping Springs; six grandchildren, Abel Martinez Jr., Addison Ortiz, Alijah Martinez, Alayna Martinez, Jeremiah Lopez and Noah Lopez; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation will be held from 3 to 4 p.m. Friday, February 15, 2019, at Galloway & Sons Funeral Home Chapel in Beeville followed by the funeral service at 4 o'clock.

Interment will be private.
