Alice Louise Franklin

With heavy hearts, the family of Alice Louise Wesson Franklin, 94, announce her passing on Wednesday, March 18, 2026.

Alice was born on March 11, 1932, in Beeville, Texas, to Roy and Lela (Gressett) Wesson. She was raised in Beeville as well and married James B. Franklin on December 26, 1949. Throughout her adult life, she dedicated herself to the calling of pastor's wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. In her early life she was an avid reader and enjoyed painting and gardening. She assisted her husband in his ministry and her daughter, Lisa, in her dental office. She also enjoyed traveling with Lisa during her career in the United States Army.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. James B, Franklin; her parents, Roy and Lela (Gressett) Wesson; and siblings, Charles Wesson and Dorothy Pollard.

Alice leaves behind a loving family who deeply mourn her loss including her three daughters, Gayle (Tommy) Dulin of Robstown, TX, Debbie (Don) Bebee of Lubbock, TX, and Lisa Franklin of Corpus Christi, TX.; four grandchildren, Shea Politte, Ryan (Sarah) Bebee, Cara (Jason) Arnold, and Britt (Megan) Dulin; 17 great-grandchildren, Jacob, Ty, Kyle Politte, Brooklyn, Madison, Cate, Emma, Elizabeth Bebee, Kai, Zoe, Abbey, Jackson Arnold, Cody, Hunter, Colten, Amelia, and Adelyn Dulin.

Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, March 24, at Galloway & Sons Funeral Home in Beeville.

Graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 25, at Glenwood Cemetery with Rev. Ryan Bebee officiating.

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Alice may be made to South Texas Children's Home, White Orchid Hospice, or the charity of your choice.
